Biography

Dr. Marc A. Schumer graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor’s degree in 1984. He earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his residency in Urology at Maimonides Medical Center.

Following his residency, Dr. Schumer completed a one-year fellowship at Columbia University, where he conducted molecular biology research focused on Programmed Cell Death. During this fellowship, he published multiple articles in scientific journals and presented his research at national conferences across the United States.

Dr. Schumer was awarded Second Prize in the Ferdinand Valentine New York State Urologic Essay Contest for two consecutive years.

Professional Experience

Dr. Schumer is a Board Certified Urologist practicing on the south shore of Long Island.

He also serves as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Urology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

His previous leadership positions include:

• Chief of Urology at Brunswick Hospital Center
• Medical Director of The Long Island Surgery Center

Dr. Schumer is also a member of the Urology Board of The Kidney and Urology Foundation.

He is one of the original members of Integrated Medical Professionals (IMP) and has served on its Board of Directors since the company’s inception.
