Marc A. Schumer, MD, FACS
Associate Medical Director
Dr. Marc A. Schumer is a Board-Certified Urologist practicing in Amityville, New York, and a founding member of Integrated Medical Professionals (IMP). He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board, Associate Medical Director, and chairs both the Quality Management Committee and the Utilization Review Committee.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Schumer is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Urology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
His previous leadership roles include:
- Chief of Urology at Brunswick Hospital Center
- Medical Director of The Long Island Surgery Center
Dr. Schumer earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in 1984 and received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine.
He completed his residency in Urology at Maimonides Medical Center and later completed a fellowship in Molecular Biology at Columbia University, where his research focused on Programmed Cell Death.
During his fellowship, Dr. Schumer:
- Published multiple articles in scientific journals
- Presented research at national conferences
- Received Second Prize in the Ferdinand Valentine New York State Urologic Essay Contest for two consecutive years
